Happy Chinese New Year!
Yes, it’s the year of the water dragon and Happy New Year to all my Chinese friends, full and half-blooded!
Hubby is 25% Chinese and though he has that blood running in his veins, he is a Filipino by heart, mind and soul… hehehe. We don’t practice any Chinese traditions and beliefs but with my MIL, the Chinese characteristic of entrepreneurship is very prominent and evident in her. That is why probably why my hubby is also into business.
Anyhow, my family will be in the city today to celebrate and have dinner at our favorite restaurant. Today also happens to be the birthday of one of our closest family friend, Tito Joy, who is also Baby Job’s godfather. I hope that the New Year will bring good fortune to him and to all his endeavors. Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Birthday Tito Joy!

You can find out the difference in dates between the Chinese and Japanese New Year anywhere, but being a Chinese myself I’ll add a bit – the Chinese celebration is around January 20-30 (differs every year).
